An illustrated journey of mid-century architecture in the South Lake Minnetonka area

Gain a new appreciation for midcentury modern architecture as Bobak Ha'Eri of Docomomo US/MN demonstrates the history of the movement in the south Lake Minnetonka area.

Doors open at 6:00 pm, presentation begins at 7:00 pm. Limited seating available. Seating is first come, first served. $5.00 suggested contribution at the door.

Parking: FREE public parking is available in the lot behind the brewery.

*Note there is no "member" ticket for this event. All tickets are general seating.

Please note that masks are not required, but are highly encouraged regardless of vaccination status. If you arrive without a mask and would like one, please let a volunteer know during check in and we will happily provide one to you at no cost.

About Tapping History:
Tapping History provides an opportunity to learn about the history of Lake Minnetonka in a casual and convivial atmosphere. The Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society produces this monthly series highlighting local history in word and image, presented by respected historians and passionate amateurs alike. The series is free and open to the public and beverages are available for purchase before and during the event.

About the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society:
Founded in 1972, the Society collects, preserves and shares the history of Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood and Tonka Bay. The Society’s Archives and Museum are open to the public and house the largest collection of historical artifacts, documents and photographs in the area. A number of books about Lake Minnetonka history have been published by the Society and programs and initiatives have been created to share the history. https://www.elmhs.org/

DOCOMOMO is the international working party for the documentation and conservation of buildings, sites, and neighborhoods of the modern movement. Docomomo US/MN is the Minnesota chapter of Docomomo US.
