Going, Going, Gone! Arthur Dickey Home in Minnetonka. In-Person on Thursday, June 24, 2021
Members Only Event!
Join Docomomo US/MN as we return to in-person tours and events. The Going, Going, Gone! series of tours continues, featuring the Berman Residence in Minnetonka, designed in 1970 by architect Arthur Dickey. Thursday, June 24, 2021. Two time slots available: 5pm and 6pm. Space is limited and registration is required! This is a free event. The original owner of this mid-century home is preparing to sell the property for the first time since it was built, and Docomomo US/MN members can take a sneak peek! Virtually unchanged and meticulously cared for, stepping into this home is like stepping back in time. Designed with three modules in an L-shaped configuration, the home features a two story atrium that connects the living/dining areas with the bedroom/bathroom module. Family and living room areas are separated by a copper and brick fireplace, and flooded with daylight through large clerestory windows. The third module contains and oversized garage and storage areas. The lower level features an indoor pool, sauna and large recreation room! Missed the in-person tour? See a slideshow guided by homeowner Lois Berman below. Read more about the Berman Residence at the Star Tribune. |
