As a part of our study and understanding of Modernism, we become very familiar with the buildings, sites, interiors, and furnishings of the style.  Through this analysis we begin to understand the designer—their philosophies, design intentions, and how their designs should be experienced.  But there is a story that is lesser known, often untold, that of the personal life of these designers and their families as they grow up surrounded by Modern design.  This session will be a unique opportunity to see into that more intimate world when we talk to Toby Rapson, son of Ralph Rapson; Roy and Bob Close, sons of Winston and Lisl Close; and Monica and Christian Korab, wife and son of Balthazar Korab.
