Description:
100 Washington Square is the companion building to 20 Washington Ave S., both designed by Minoru Yamasaki and commissioned by Northwestern National Life insurance company. This high-rise office building is understated in its massing. The four sides are flat planes, connected by beveled corners with columns running the height of the building. The main mass floats over a glassed-in first floor, revealing dark green marble interior finishes.
