Join Docomomo US/MN to tour the Bert Cross residence, built in 1957, for a former president of the 3M corporation. This distinctive home is situated just 20 miles from Minneapolis on a quiet hilltop with scenic lake views in Dellwood's Pine Tree Hills neighborhood. Bert Cross served as the President and CEO of the 3M Company from 1963 to 1966, and as Chairman and CEO from 1966 to 1970. Expansive windows fill the home with natural light, while original woodwork and beautifully vintage bathrooms with colorful tile celebrate its mid-century character. Thoughtful updates have been made with an eye toward preserving the home's architectural integrity. The home even has its own place in local history: Bing Crosby entertained guests here during a visit to St. Paul for a 3M audio tape promotion. The Bert Cross residence is located on Evergreen Road, just off of Highway 96/Dellwood Road in Dellwood, Minnesota. In-Person (self-guided) Tour: Wednesday, September 9, 2026; 4-6pm.
